Needle In A Haystack - Country Cottage Needleworks

Nicky Leeman of Country Cottage Needleworks is releasing a new 9-part winter series called Frosty Forest starting November 2013 and wrapping up in July 2014.

Each design is stitched on Belfast (32 count) Pearl Grey Zweigart linen. Each section is a stitch count of 65x65 (4x4 on 32 count). If you plan to stitch them all as ornaments there are 2 options - Stitcher's Half (36x27) of the fabric will get you 12 9x9 cuts, which means you can frame the individual pieces. If you are doing just ornaments a Stitcher's Quarter (18x27) will get you 12 - 6x6 cuts.

Nicky has created a map for the 9 designs if you want to stitch them as a single design. If you're planning to stitch them with this orientation you'll need an 18x18 piece of fabric.

Frosty Forest uses Crescent Colours, DMC, Sampler Threads and Weeks Dye Works as well as a Just Another Button Company button. The button is entirely optional, but is sized for stitching on 32 count fabric. The thread and button list for the series is as follows:

Zweigart Pearl Gray comes in Belfast (32 count), Edinborough (36 count) and Newcastle (40 count). The design calls for 32 count but you can stitch on any of the counts. If you would prefer a hand-dyed fabric we suggest Lakeside Linens Tarnished Silver (Regular or Vintage) or Quicksilver (Regular or Vintage). The Vintage Lakeside Linens colors will give you more mottling, which could be nice for the open background. We only list the 32 count options for these fabrics below but you can order a SQ or other yardage of these colors in 28, 36 or 40 count through our online catalog:
