Warm & Toasty Snowman

Warm & Toasty Snowman

Full of fun and color this adorable snowman is not your ordinary snowman! Not only does he sparkle in his own right but he is surrounded by crystal snowflakes and his smiling mouth is formed with real faceted hematite beads that look like shining pieces of coal. Comfortably nestled in a showbank, he is prepared for a fun winter's day picnic by holding a marshmallow suspended on a twig over the candle he holds in his other hand.

The composite stitched pattern on the crown of his knitted hat uses silk, wool and rayon threads in the riotous color combination of red, bright yellow and vivid purple. Wonderful apple green silk is used to complete the stitching on the brim of his hat and the cufss of his sweater. His bright yellow scarf is stitched with an innovative way of stitching shading and his red mittens appear to have been knitted right on the canvas. A silk and wool, purple sweater and a padded carrot nose complete this delightfully happy fellow who is sure to liven up your winter decorations.

Canvas, kit with all your threads, stretcher bars & stitch guide are included in the class fee. You will need to bring your usual stitching supplies and a frame weight or stand to allow for two-handed stitching.
