Weekly Specials
With the challenging economic times we've
seen a definite decrease in our revenues. So to encourage you to spend a little
and save with us, we will be starting Weekly Specials. These specials will be
for in-stock merchandise only and is a way for us do a some inventory
reductions (and net some much needed cash). It will vary each week and you'll
need to mention the Weekly Special to receive your discount. They will be
posted on our Blog, on the
Sales page and I'll be
doing a weekly Tweet from my niah Twitter account. You can follow
me by clicking on the Twitter link on the
Blog.
Unless otherwise noted, each Weekly Special
does not earn Rewards points (although you can use them at any time). It is
limited to items in-stock and sales are final on Weekly Special items - so no
exchanges or returns are accepted on them.
Our first Weekly Special is: All Gumnuts
threads in stock are 40% off. We have decided to no longer inventory these
threads. I love stitching with them but they aren't a big enough seller for us
to continue investing dollars in them. This Weekly Special is good from April 3
through April 13th. Be sure to mention it when you place your order or pay at
the register.
Check out the
Sales page and there is an
item you can add to your shopping cart if you are ordering on-line that will
include a note about this Weekly Special. |

Associated Talents show will continue
through Easter. We are also expecting a few Easter canvases to arrive from Kirk
& Hamilton, two English designers and they will also be part of the Easter
trunkshow. We are offering a 10% discount for canvases purchased or ordered
from the trunkshow while it's here.
April 17th and April 18th we will be
featuring 2 lectures by Tricia Nguyen-Wilson of Thistle Threads. Friday
night will be a lecture on Sampler Design ($45) and Saturday night will be on
the Plimoth Plantation jacket ($35). You can sign up find out more information
or sign-up for the lectures via our
classes page or by
calling the shop. You can read more about Tricia's work on her Blog.
Next month we'll be featuring a trunkshow
from Laura J. Perrin and we are arranging a Meet-n-Greet event with her at the
shop as well. I'll post more details in the next newsletter and on the
Blog.
Don't forget we are continuing our late
Tuesday hours through the end of April so if you have one evening we're open
unitl 8pm. More time to shop or to come stitch for a bit. |

If you live here in the States I hope the
impending tax deadline hasn't got you too frazzled. Mine has been done and off
the accountant for awhile so now I'm just waiting for the final verdict (which
always feels like waiting for a jury to come in). I trust you will find some
time to relax and stitch this week.
Happy Stitching, Cathe ...and
Debi, Caroline, Lelia, Mary, Ali, Jennifer, Marty, Sherry, Susan and
Margaret
Remember our Grab Bag for Food Donations
offer - bring in non-perishable food items for donation and get a grab bag!
We've been happy with the donations so far and given all the very old inventory
we have that could use a good home - this is a win-win for us, for you and for
the Alameda Food Bank. They have kindly loaned us a big, red bin that's by the
door for food donations. |
