Happy Easter!

We will be closed on Easter Sunday so we can all enjoy the day off. Whether you celebrate Passover, Easter, a fun day with the Easter Bunny or just a great spring (or fall) weekend, I hope you will be having an enjoyable time with family and friends. We're having a late day dinner on Sunday with my family at our house this year. I guess that means I have to do some more house clean up and not as much stitching before then!

Weekly Special

Don't forget that our Weekly Special until April 13th is all Gumnuts threads in stock are 40% off.

Our next Weekly Special will be - all Linenband in stock is 30% off, with a few of them being 50-75% off. Some of them we never sold a great deal of we'd like them to find a home with you vs. just hanging out in the store (they need to be stitched on and I think they're feeling a bit unloved). The Linenband Weekly Special will be good from April 14th until April 20th.

The Sales page contains an item you can add to your shopping cart if you are ordering on-line that will include a note about that particular Weekly Special. Be sure to mention it when you place your phone order or pay at the register. Remember, Weekly Specials are good on for what we have in-stock and unless otherwise noted, do not earn Rewards points. I update the Sales page, blog and send a Tweet on Monday for each Weekly Special.

April & May Events

This is the last weekend of our Easter trunk show from Associated Talents & Kirk & Hamilton, two English designers. Trunkshow canvases receive a 10% discount for those purchased or ordered from the trunkshow. Don't delay!

April 17th and April 18th we will be featuring 2 lectures by Tricia Nguyen-Wilson of Thistle Threads. Friday night will be a lecture on Sampler Design ($45) and Saturday night will be on the Plimoth Plantation jacket ($35). For the month of May we'll be featuring a trunkshow from Laura J. Perin and Laura will be at the shop for a Meet-n-Greet on Saturday, May 16th from 1-4pm. There is no charge for this, just come, meet Laura and check our her amazing designs! We'll post more details about the contents of the trunkshow before the beginning of May.

Don't forget we are continuing our late Tuesday hours through the end of April so if you have one evening we're open until 8pm. More time to shop or to come stitch for a bit. And we have free Wi-Fi!

New Shepherd's Bush Canvases

Dream House Ventures has arranged to produce several of the Shepherd's Bush designs as needlepoint canvases and they are so cute! Each of them is done on 18 mesh canvas. Both the Goblins Bookmark and the Happy Haunting Band Sampler come with a chart for the fiddlybits on the canvas where that portion is not painted in. You can read more about them on the blog or you can find them in our on-line catalog.

Well, the US tax deadline is next week and I hope you're not too frazzled. Remember to breath and relax. Perhaps some stitching is called for...We have plenty of hot tea and good light so come by for a visit.
