 Last week I mentioned Mary
Frances had a piece on the cover of Piecework. This week our former
shop manager,
Ada Haydon, has an article and a piece featured on the back cover of
the May/June Needlepoint Now. Ada moved to Rhode Island a few years ago
and had been doing
some painted canvases for herself before she moved away. I remember
fondly sending my collection of Liquitex paints with her so she could
get some use out of
them (I was clearly not destined to be a designer). After doing some
canvases for sale on her own, she launched a design company called Eye
Candy. Her designs are full of fun and bright colors. Just
take a look at the Gloriana silk Ada's Rainbow and you'll get a good
idea of her
favorite colors. We're really happy to see an article out on her work
and wish her all the best!You can order the May/June 2010 issue of Needlepoint Now through our online catalog if you're not able to make it into the store.

 We just got notice from Norden
Crafts this week that Anne Brown of The Goode Huswife is retiring -
immediately! They are able to
sell what they still have in stock but not do any reorders. Check out
Norden's section for The
Goode
Huswife and let us know if there's anything you want.
We'll see if we might still have any of them or if we can get them from
Norden. And don't forget that we can
order charts for Carriage House Samplings through the
end of June, before
Kathy Barrick goes into the next phase of closing down. We want to get
our orders in the middle of June so we don't get caught in the last
minute
crunch. |

complete the background on
the tree section of my Zecca bag. Now I'm off to the section above it

We are participating in the
National EGA Seminar 2010 (San Francisco) by being one of the boutique
vendors. If you have not signed
up for Seminar 2010, First Day Registration has been extended to May
15. General Registration is May 16 - June 3. There's a great roster of
teachers and
several fun activities as well. Plus if you're not from the SF Bay Area
you can visit us both at the boutique and come see the store. Visit the
