Grace Rare Tea -
Fancy Ceylon
We're big tea fans at the shop and
the tea we serve is from Grace Rare Tea -
Fancy Ceylon. Fancy Ceylon is from
the high mountains of Nuwara Eliya, known for its
fine aroma, coppery color and full flavor. Now,
you can enjoy this tea at home. Purchase a tin the
first time and then refills thereafter. We use the
tea filters when we brew it so it makes clean up a
snap. If you have a tall teapot, you can use the
long filters without the filter holder. We use the
regular filters at the shop with the holder in a
teapot that's really supposed to be a coffee pot
and they work fine.
 If you've
not used tea filters before they are wonderful for
loose tea. The filter holder has teeth along the
side and you squeeze it closed, put a Finum
Medium filter on it and then release to let the
teeth grab the filter bag. Fill with
your favorite loose tea, sit it on your teapot and
steep for the required time.
Once you're done,
squeeze the filter holder closed and shake the
filter off into the trash or your green recycling
bin (which is where ours go). Rinse and you're
ready for the next tea pot. This works great in an
office environment where cleaning a tea ball is
not an easy option and tea filters eliminate the
metallic taste some tea balls can give off.
