If we don't have a
designer listed below that you're looking for, be sure to use our
Hoffman Merchant
Mall pages. Generally we only list designers not available through Hoffman
via the search engine below. You can order anything from Hoffman's
inventory through the secure cart. This partnership we have with Hoffman lets
you have more options to find the charts you're looking for, especially since
they inventory over 20,000 charts! If we don't have the chart in stock you
order from their system and we'll add it to our next Hoffman order - what could
be easier! |

Society of Soie
Surfine ....when only the finest will do! We are pleased to
be part of the Society of Soie Surfine, a cooperative of five
needlework shops with a love of very fine needlework (as in small). You can
read about the Society on our
Society News blog. If
you wish to purchase a subscription to Series #1 from us you can do so below.
The cost is $18 each month for 6 months ($108 total) and entitles you to 1 skein of each of the 5 hand-dyed Soie Surfine colors we release along with a piece of 40 or 45
count custom-dyed linen from Lakeside Linens. You will get either a
skein of that month's thread or the fabric (we haven't decided yet when the
fabric will come). You don't need to pay for the series up-front, we'll charge
each month's release as it is shipped. Please indicate below which fabric count
you wish to receive as part of your subscription when it released. Additional
fabric will be available to subscribers and we will notify you how to do that
at a later date.
We have run out of our first batch of Carmine Rose but more will be coming in early October. We will put you in the queue for the next shipment of our first color. All of the Society Member shops will be getting more of it so don't worry about being left out :-).

We have some pages with all the
components you need for a few of our more popular projects. We'll be adding to
this list over time.

You can use the box below
to search the designer database. Because of how the search is done you will
sometimes get more results than you might think. Searching for "alphabet" will
get you alphabet and alphabets. This database contains buttons, charts,
embellishments, frames and kits by the designers. If you have not used
pull-down lists often all you need to do is to click on the downward facing
triangle to see the other items in the list. Most browsers will let you type in
the first character and take you to that section of the list, so you don't need
to always scroll down to get to the bottom. |
The Search for
Designers is useful if you want to find a chart, kit or embellment pack by
its title, designer or anything else. So you can search for "Scarlet" and it
will return charts/kits with that as part of their description. If you want to
search for more than one keyword type each keyword in and select whether it
should look for ANY of those keywords or ALL of them. A search will return
different results depending upon whether you select the ANY or ALL keyword
match and sometimes whether or not you enclose it in parentheses. With the
search set to ANY you will get matches where either of the keywords exists - a
lot more than you probably want. For most search you probably want to search
for ALL keywords and that is set as the default.
